Stall Pitch Categories/Fees 2025
PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY, TO SELECT THE RIGHT CATEGORY WHEN BOOKING
(A standard pitch size is 3.5mx3.5m)
A Commercial Pitch
A commercial pitch is for a business or a company. Someone that runs a business from a place of work or their home.
This is a limited category and we only allow a small number of businesses to attend, by agreement with the committee. This is to stop the Fayre being too commercial.
The Cost of this Pitch is: £50.00
A Charity Pitch
A charity pitch is for local charities only and NOT for UK charities based outside of the area (although local branches of national charities are allowed). This is so that monies raised are used to benefit the local community. Please note this is a limited category with only a certain number of pitches available, and when applying for a charity stall, you must provide your registered charity number. Every year the Fayre committee chooses one charity to support and they will automatically get a pitch.
The Cost of this Pitch is: £40.00
A Resident With A Hobby Pitch
A Resident with a ‘Hobby pitch’ is for local residents with a hobby or skill e.g. they make a product to sell once a year at Bearsted Fayre. This category is ONLY open to people that live in the parish of Bearsted & Thurnham (proof of address will be required).
If this category is abused, it will be taken away. The use of family or friends addresses in Bearsted or Thurnham is STRICTLY prohibited.
The Cost of this Pitch is: £30.00
A 50/50 Pitch
This option is available only to local organisations and charities, or in agreement with the committee. A 50/50 pitch is free of charge. At the end of the Fayre, 50% of your profit is to be given to the Fayre and it will go towards the charity that has been chosen by the committee. You will receive a banking form to do this on the day.
The Cost of this Pitch is: Free of Charge (50/50 Split)
A Pitch In The Food & Drinks Court
The Food & Drinks Court is a limited area that can ONLY be booked if it is agreed by the chairman BEFORE booking. Booking without permission does not automatically get you a pitch. We limit this area so as not to “double up” on the same category of food and drink. We do NOT give anyone priority in this area from year to year.
A sensible donation of profits is to be given to the Fayre, to go towards the charity fund of that year. This is agreed when booking. Anyone not offering a donation or sensible amount will NOT be invited back next year.
The Cost of this Pitch Starts From: £125.00
If you would like a pitch bigger than 3mx3m, the cost will be £15 extra per 3m square. The depth needs to stay at 3m.
Please see diagram below for details.
The Executive Committee will NOT grant exclusivity to any stall holder, in relation to the products and services being sold/provided. The Executive Committee decision is final when booking a pitch.
Stall holders and the products they are selling need to be appropriate for the Fayre.
